Production and analysis
Process design and optimisation
We offer process analysis from a technical and commercial point of view, which helps you to optimise cost reduction, cycle times or variability of production output. With the help of the software team, we can also provide process automation.
We develop the software to automate or measure business processes, for example, tracking parts through a factory or end of line testing in a production environment. We use data collected from the process by our software to optimise usage of the resources. Being experienced in both business and engineering, our staff offers a solution which many consultant companies cannot. With the engineer skill set, we can predict the outcome of the process change better than most consultant companies who often don’t bring detailed technical knowledge from years of working in the engineering field. We understand the product and remove only unnecessary steps, without compromising quality or functionality of the production process.
Cybersecurity concepts
To protect their production and classified data, our customers need us to help them prevent any potential cybersecurity breaches. Our expertise lies in automotive cybersecurity, which covers three different environments: the one inside of the embedded system, the manufacturing process (production) and the environment with which embedded system interacts during operation.
For the embedded system environment, we offer expertise in AUTOSAR architecture and cryptographic libraries covering both FIPS and NIST standards. In manufacturing, we focus on the impact of IT security and cybersecurity with our knowledge of TISAX. Knowledge in IoT and embedded systems enables us to provide cybersecurity concepts for telematics, as well as for over-the-air programming (OTAP) of devices that are already deployed to the end customer.
Safety analysis
The use of electronic equipment and artificial intelligence for safety-critical applications exposes people to new risks. The trend toward increased reliance on electronics for our safety and security has put devices and their functional safety under the extreme spotlight. Almost every producer requires a safety analysis for its products to avoid any potential casualties. At Syntbit, we have expertise in running ISO 26262 certifications for Active Function Safety as well as Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL). We offer support in the implementation of these standards and classifications, to improve the safety of your automotive electrical and electronic systems.
Cross-industry sensors
We take sensors from the automotive industry, customise them and use them for other applications, often for non-automotive ones. For example, we put automotive cameras with detection capability into off-road machinery. Clients from outside of the automotive industry are often surprised by the cost savings and functionalities of customised sensors. Examples of such usage are accelerometers from Antilock Braking Systems (ABS) as well as automotive cameras or ultrasonic transducers which can be used in industrial applications. The price to performance ratio is generally much better than for industrial sensors because of the high volume of production in automotive applications. This makes it a perfect solution for projects that need proven technology but have limited budgets.
